Girls-Only Transport Program
Chief Minister Girls-Only Transport Program has been launched to promote women education in Punjab. Under this scheme, better transportation services will be given to females from schools across the state.It is no less than a blessing for the students who had to face the problem of traveling from faraway areas which was hurting their education.
In the opening event, Chief Minister Punjab handed over the keys of 76 new cars to the principles of different women’s organizations.These cars will accommodate to children of schools located in places where public transport is limited.He also mingled with the students and reviewed the cars to ensure that they meet the standards of the students.

Recently launched a new girls-only transport project aimed at offering transportation for female children visiting women’s schools across Punjab. In the program’s first part, 19 cars have already been spread to colleges in impoverished tehsils, including Bhakkar, Sialkot, Chiniot, and Jatoi.
The entire application entails spreading 76 vehicles across three parts, with additional buses planned for schools in places like Taxila, Kot Addu, and Sohawa by early 2025. The CM also voiced interest in changing some buses to air-conditioned versions to improve ease for students.

Three-Phase Girls-Only Transport Program Rollout
The transportation program is split into three stages so that all qualified females can attend schools.
In the first step, buses were given to 19 tehsils which earlier did not have proper travel services.These places include Bhakkar, Sialkot, Chiniot, Kamalia, Malkwal and many other areas.These cars will significantly benefit the pupils who had to take pricey transportation to attend their lessons.
